Data Deletion Request

Request account and personal data removal

In compliance with applicable privacy laws (including Nigeria's NDPR, Ghana's Data Protection Act, and the EU GDPR) and Meta/Facebook platform requirements, we provide all users with the ability to request deletion of their personal data and account information.

You have two ways to request data deletion:

Option 1: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@abrixeltech.com from your registered email address with the following details:

  • Subject line: Data Deletion Request
  • Your registered email address on SendSlip.
  • Your business name (if available).
  • Your WhatsApp phone number linked to SendSlip (if applicable).
  • A brief statement confirming you wish to delete your account and all associated data.

Option 2: Self-Service Deletion (Coming Soon)

We are working on an in-app account deletion feature that will allow you to permanently delete your account directly from your dashboard without contacting support. This feature will be available in a future update.

Verification Process

To protect your account from unauthorized deletion, we will verify your identity before processing the request. This may include:

  • Confirming details about your account (business name, registration date, etc.).
  • Responding to a verification email sent to your registered address.
  • Additional verification for accounts with active paid subscriptions.

Processing Time

Verified deletion requests are typically processed within 7 to 14 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

What Gets Deleted

  • Account profile and registration data (name, email, username, password hash).
  • Business profile and branding settings (logo, business name, currency, tax settings).
  • WhatsApp connection and phone number association.
  • Message and interaction logs tied to your account.
  • Receipt and invoice records (where legally permitted ??? see retention below).
  • Support ticket and communication history.

What May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons:

  • Financial records: Transaction logs and billing records required by tax and accounting laws (typically 6 years).
  • Fraud prevention: Data needed to investigate or prevent fraudulent activity may be retained for up to 12 months.
  • Legal holds: Data subject to ongoing litigation, regulatory inquiry, or subpoena.
  • Anonymized data: Aggregated or anonymized statistical data that can no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely.

Data Deletion for Facebook Login Users

If you logged into SendSlip using your Facebook account, you can also revoke SendSlip's access to your Facebook data directly through your Facebook App Settings. Removing the app from your Facebook settings will prevent future access, but additional personal data held by SendSlip must be deleted via the email request method above.
